Though its been almost 1.5yrs since I have been in the US, I am still not used to using the greenback. From the picture below, you can see that at a glance the similarities (in colours and size) make it difficult to be able to differentiate the denominations in a hurry. Without actually pulling the note out partway to confirm the numeric amount, one is highly likely to pay with the wrong note.
I on the other hand miss Singapore's dollar notes. Each denomination has a distinct colour which one would hardly have problems identifying in a wallet.

Back : Independence Hall
$20 bill
Colour: Green & Blue
Front: Andrew Jackson
Back : White House
$5 bill
Colour: Green & purple
Front: Abraham Lincoln
Back: Lincoln Memorial
